06/16/2010 Press Release: CES Joins Hands and Helpers to bring Power to Haiti Through Brad Pitts’ Foundation.
During a recent U.S. Marine Corps Energy Symposium where Capture Energy Solutions was presenting, a series of connects were made that resulted in over fifty thousand dollars of state of the art renewable power generation/distribution equipment being shipped to Haiti in support of the disaster relief there.
On the floor of the convention center in New Orleans, no stranger to disaster, the USMC had invited energy entrepreneurs to display their technology for the consideration of the Corps, to include the Commandant, GEN Conway. During the exposition Capture Energy Solutions President Dan Bicz met former Ambassador Lincoln Broomfield who, in turn, introduced Kousay Said of Zero Base Energy, LLC. Mr. Said briefed Mr. Bicz on the systems capabilities of their proprietary, portable solar storage and converter system. Later that evening, Mr. Bicz while attending another event met one of the executives of Brad Pitts’ Make It Right Foundation, and discussed the concept of Zero Base’s unique system . The next day, Mr. Bicz introduced everyone and Mr. Said immediately agreed to donate two Zero Base systems to Make It Right Foundation Base.
Mr. Bicz said, “Life is all about relationships and connections. If I had some small part in helping to
alleviate suffering or providing much needed power for water and lights, I could not be more happy”.
